Harvard International

The Harvard International Review is a quarterly journal of international relations distributed on six continents. Published by the Harvard International Relations Council, Inc., the The Harvard International Review offers incisive commentary on global developments in business, science, technology, and politics.

Founded in 1979 to "cover that middle ground between academic scholarship and journalism," the The Harvard International Review has expanded significantly over the past twenty years to better serve our readers. From humble beginnings as a monthly newsletter, the The Harvard International Review has grown into a highly respected journal in the field.

For twenty-five years, the HIR has featured scholars and policymakers from around the world, including Nelson Mandela, Samuel P. Huntington, Aung San Suu Kyi, Jeffrey Sachs, Shimon Peres, Amartya Sen, John Kenneth Galbraith, Jimmy Carter, and Zbigniew Brzezinski.

Inside the print edition, you'll find interviews, essays, and book reviews on a diverse range of topics -in addition to regular coverage of significant global and regional issues in our "World in Review" and "Global Notebook" sections. Plus, each edition offers an in-depth look at a critical international issue.
