In 1989 Pedal changed to its current ownership and was re-launched as Canada's national cycling magazine. Pedal was first printed on newsprint in a tabloid format. In 1993 it changed to a magazine format evolving into a full color glossy publication a few years later. Pedal is sold nationally at newsstands.
